A NOTE FROM KIM

Hey there,

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, no fuss or fluff just a quick introduction and welcome. In 2016 I founded Kindred Yoga.

As a mother of 2, wife, part time administration worker, self-confessed procrastinator, seeker of knowledge and totally unconventional yogi I found a need for yoga in my remote community and the benefits that it can provide. Since those first dusty days of fuddling around I have seen that need grow and in turn I have grown with it to now be able to offer my community, other rural/remote townships and followers my skills and knowledge as a yoga therapist.

I am very passionate about empowering people with the joys of intentional movement, the power of stillness and the self-ability to assist and manage one’s own health and wellbeing through simple, sustainable techniques and tools no matter your stage of life.

For me Yoga allows me to be the best version of myself in health and in life. It helps me feel grounded, it’s my constant companion and like the wind my practice changes as I do – and I love it, it’s just for me, my practice and space to reconnect and honor myself.

I hope that one day you will join me on the mat, that you will embrace who you are and dance to your own tune. That you will find joy and empowerment in accepting and taking control of your own health and wellbeing, and that you will share with the world the best version of yourself!

Till we meet on the mat I wish you kindness and great health

Namaste,

Kim xx

Kindred Yoga was founded in 2016 by Kim who wanted to make yoga accessible to those who live in her remote outback community but also to everyone and to remove any pretence of who could do yoga. Kim has endeavoured to create a space where students can accept and become aware of themselves through movement, space and stillness. As a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia she has endeavoured to continue to train and provide to her community and followers the highest standard of therapeutic knowledge and practices currently available in the yoga and wellbeing industry. Having recently completed her Yoga Therapy Graduates Certificate, Kim provides individualised therapeutic tools and techniques to people from all walks of life. Whether struggling with stress or anxiety through school, work or home or finding ways to manage chronic pain from past injuries, Kim co-creates practices with individuals to suit their time, needs and current health and wellbeing. She prides herself in working with other medical professions and keeping abreast of the latest research in regard to disease, the body and wellbeing. Kindred Yoga values knowledge, sustainability and wellbeing and endeavours to hold these in the highest regard through all classes, sessions, workshops, courses and retreats. Kim’s mission is to empower individuals with knowledge of their bodies through awareness and understanding by applying simple and sustainable practices so that each person can reach their greatest potential and wellbeing. All sessions are for the everyday person. They are real, nurturing and light-hearted with an emphasis on making yoga therapeutic and accessible to everyone and anyone wanting to give it a go. Kim is passionate about guiding people in ways to manage and take responsibility for their health and wellbeing.
